* Novice: Not having won a 1st Prize for sweet peas at any previous show- Cut flowers to be shown in containers supplied by the Society

** Pot Plants to be owned at least 6 months

CACTUS AND OTHER SUCCULENT PLANTS

  1. One plant, max.20cm.container, to be judged on floral effect only
  2. Two plants, max. 15cm. containers
  3. Three plants max. 12.5cm containers
  4. Four plants, max. 10cm containers
  5. Six plants, max. 7.5cm. containers
  6. A Display, to exhibit diversity of form, 46cm. by 46cm.

VEGETABLES & FRUIT

  1. Two Lettuces with roots
  2. Nine pods of Broad Beans
  3. Nine pods Peas
  4. Three sticks Rhubarb
  5. Any other Vegetable not mentioned, at least two.
  6. A collection of Vegetables- at least 3 kinds.
  7. A collection of Herbs, Three distinct kinds, displayed in water or growing
  8. Plate of Twelve Strawberries - one variety
  9. Plate of Twelve Gooseberries - one variety
  10. Plate of any other Soft Fruit - one variety, 15 Berries or 12 strigs (currants)

FLORAL ART

  1. 'Nursery Rhyme'- an exhibit (60 cm. wide x 60 cm. Deep. Ht unlimited)
  2. An exhibit in an unusual container. (45 cm. w x 45 cm. D. Ht. unlimited)
  3. 'Book Title', An exhibit. (60 cm. wide x 60 cm. Deep. Ht unlimited)

DOMESTIC

  1. Four Cheese scones
  2. Small White Loaf - yeast raised (handmade)
  3. Treacle tart.
  4. Four pieces of gingerbread
  5. Lemon Curd, small jar.

WINE

  1. One Bottle Kit Wine, home-made, White, Dry
  2. One Bottle Kit Wine, home-made, Red, Dry
  3. One bottle Home-made Sweet White Country Wine
  4. One bottle Home-made Dry red Country wine
  5. One Bottle home-made Sweet White Vegetable Wine

Wine to be exhibited in 26oz. clear colourless bottles, closed with a white flanged cork and neatly labeled>

CHILDREN

  1. Monster made from vegetables, fruit or flowers - 6 years old & under
  2. Monster made from vegetables, fruit or flowers - 7-9 years
  3. Four Rock Cakes - 10 years & over
