It's a hedgehog plant protection cover. People from Sussex believe that hedgehogs live on fluffy white clouds and accidentally fall off. That's why you see so many flattened hedgehogs on Sussex roads. But some survive by falling onto softer places such as allotments, but however some are a bit put out by this experience and wander off in a daze, only to be squashed flat by 4x4's racing to Tescos. That's what Richard Feist, one of the pair who run Littlehampton trading hut on Sundays, told me and what do I know about the countryside. I'm a Londoner.
Richard has reported that his hedgehog cover has been hit hard by the current bad weather. He told me that the damage was caused by a falling porcupine, But that's silly, even I known that they live in dustbins.
Richard has further reported that closer examination of the hedgehog cover has revealed cut marks, does this mean that hedgehogs have been issued with Stanley knifes? Even more intriguing is how did they obtain a DVD copy of the 'Black Pirate'? this is getting scary. is there something the government not telling us?

The Met Office said the freak weather conditions experienced throughout Britain over the last couple weeks were over. But looking at photographs of Shere Church taken last Wednesday, perhaps someone Needs to re-assess the weather maps. It might be July, but snow suddenly appeared and covered the Churchyard. But the cold spell was easily explained - the church was once again being used as a set for the Filming of the latest Hollywood blockbuster Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. This was the second time in eight months the film- making industry had descended on Shere, although covering St James' Church with snow last December did not look quite so unusual. But there was no sign of star Renee Zeilweger for onlookers.
